Shipping Charges

  • Unjustified Residential Vs. Commercial Surcharges
Carriers often charge residential fees when in fact the shipment in question was delivered to a commercial area. Although these charges are generally small, anywhere from $3.00 to $28 depending on the service level,  they can really add up over time! 

  • Delivery Area Surcharges
Carriers will sometimes charge delivery surcharges that should not apply to the shipment based on the shipment characteristics. Again, these charges are generally small, but again, can add up over time. 

  • Incorrect Dimensional Weight
Carriers often make mistakes concerning dim weight calculations. They base their charges on whichever weight is greater, dim weight vs actual weight. This effects the rate charged on the shipment, resulting in higher than expected costs. 

Invoicing

  • Duplicate Invoicing
Occasionally a package is billed more than once. If your not careful, you can be paying twice for the same package! We can go back as far as 6 months and often times recover these types of duplicate charges. 

  • Address Correction Fees
 Sometimes carriers incorrectly charge you an address correction fee, when in fact you had the right address on the manifest. Address correction fees really begin to add up after time. 
    
  • Non-Voided Airway Bills
Packages that never actually shipped but entered into the carriers system can sometimes be invoiced to your company. These are known as voids and happen more often than you might think. 
     

Delivery

  •  Delivery Exceptions
Carriers often use a delivery exceptions as a reason for a shipment not meeting service requirements. Only upon careful examination is it often found that these exceptions are not valid, and until challenged will be a good reason for a carrier not to live up to their service requirements. We question every exception! 

  • Service Failures
Shipments not meeting service requirements are eligible for a full refund! Even if they are one minute late! Carriers offer Guaranteed Service Refunds and are very common. These happen to be the shipments that companies often miss! 

  • Incorrect Delivery Surcharges 
Saturday delivery is one of the most common. Carriers charge this often times even when the shipment was not picked up or delivered on Saturday. We question all delivery surcharges.
